Ciao Martin,
I also intend to buy the new Guide, but now your post confuses me.
Does the phrase "printed in China" have the same meaning in Germany as in Italy? That is: stay away.

What Martin was probably trying to say that he is astonished that a field guide about British spiders is printed in China.
