Gorgoglione, Province of Matera, Basilicata, Southern Italy.
Date of discovery: 9 May, 11 am.
Habitat: 800 m - country path, in the litter of dry leaves.
Size: about 2/3 mm.

What is this young Thomisidae?

To me it looks like a very young specimen from Xysticus or closely related genera.

Xysticus sp. or unidentified Thomisidae? :-\

Well, honestly I don't know for sure. In Germany I'd say it's Xysticus. But it turns out you have a lot more species in Italy. I don't even know all genera present there.
