A Gnaphosidae in a meadow => Haplodrassus sp.
« am: 2022-05-20 17:57:56 »
Gorgoglione, Province of Matera, Basilicata, Southern Italy.

Date of discovery: 12 May, 11 am, sunny.
Habitat: 800 m - in a small meadow with low vegetation, bushes and scattered stones, under a little stone. Presence of a wood around.
Size: about 7 mm.

Ciao,
is it possible to determine the species of this (adult?) male Haplodrassus despite the bad photos?
Thanks.
Raf

The photos aren't bad, just from the wrong position. You need a good ventral.

Ciao Simeon,
unfortunately this time I have no ventral photos (neither of the palps nor of the animal). I didn't think about making them that day. :-[

Maybe H. signifer?

Ok, it seems that even here we do not go beyond the genus.

Thank you anyway Simeon.

I don't know why I didn't put the spider in the spi-pot, a big mistake on my part.
