Hello, we do not agree on what kind of Eresus is here: collari or sandeliatus?. The spider was found in Lithuania today (Tauragė district). Thanks for the help!

Hello Algirdas;

I'd say it's E. sandaliatus:
  • three pairs of black dots
  • no (clear) white line around the dots
  • only little red on the 'hind legs
I have never seen Eresus myself, though.

Greetings,
Clemens

... and also because adult males kollari roam in summer and autumn in central Europe, while spring is the season for sandaliatus.

But neither the wiki nor UniBe report sandaliatus for Lithuania.

Beautiful spider. My favourite genus.

Very interesting record. You should collect one or two specimens, store it in 100%Ethanol and send it to a specialist with an access to a DNA-lab. If you're interested, I could tell you who you could ask.
